Working Group 1 met at ARCNL in Amsterdam and discussed their recent achievements as well as upcoming research challenges. Several of the participants had already been part of the kick-off meeting of the new Marie-Curie Innovative Training Network ELENA and stayed on to attend. ELENA has emerged recently from activities within CELINA and will also cover research in the field of extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUVL) which was discussed in depth during LEELIS-2.

Vienna has been the hub of CELINA activities this week. A CELINA training school was held during the first three days in collaboration with the FEBIP 2016 workshop. The school covered all aspects of the field from precursor synthesis and fundamendal electron-induced processes to FEBID simulations and state-of-the-art technologies and hosted more than 30 trainees. FEBIP 2016 then presented world-wide topical research in the area and at the same time hosted very stimulating meetings of Working Groups 2 and 3. CELINA thanks Harald Plank (TU Graz) and Heinz Wanzenböck (TU Vienna) for organizing this great event.

A brochure presenting COST Action CELINA has been published.

May 18-21, 2016
The third meeting of COST Action 1301 (CELINA 2016) has been held in Krakow. We thank Janina Kopyra as well as Aleksandra Szkudlarek and her team for the excellent organisation of this very stimulating event. Stimulating input was given from the ALD community and an opening lecture on surface-controlled deposit formation. Also, collaborations between participants in precursor synthesis and groups studying their electron-induced processes or their use in FEBID are picking up as obvious from the programme, showing that CELINA is on a good track to reach its aims.
